Painting Realism

Learn to paint realism in acrylic with awarding artist Roy A Burton.

This 8-week course will cover:

• Secrets of painting realism
• How to mix correct color
• How to build a painting
• Benefits of a limited palette
• Creating texture using non-traditional methods
• Using glazes to build depth

$320 for all 8 classes!

Material list: 

• White Gesso 
• Acrylic Paint – Ultramarine blue, alizarin crimson, cadmium yellow light, burnt umber
• Two jars OR paint basin
• Color wheel
• Palette for paint (recommended: sta-wet)
• Small easel (can be provided)  
• Brushes (flats, rounds, & liner brush)

An 8×10” panel will be provided for free.

2025 Education Program Refund Policy

Cancellations: Requests for refund received in writing at least 2 days in advance of an education program start date are eligible for a refund minus a $10 administration fee, or a full credit towards another education program. Late cancellations are non-refundable, credits will determined case by case at the sole discretion of the LAC.
