The program supports Ontario-based artists and artist collectives working in visual arts, craft and media art practices in the presentation of their artwork in a confirmed public exhibition. Grant amount, minimum $500, maximum $2000.

*The LAC/SEAA defines an amateur photographer as anyone who photographs as a hobby and does not earn from their photography on a regular basis or who has not had substantial training/experience in photography that would give them an unfair advantage over other amateur photographers.

Jurying
Entries will be judged objectively by a professional photographer(s) on the basis of creativity, visual impact, technique and use of the category/theme. Digitally an analogue (film) entries as well as adults and children entries will be judged together.
How to Submit Your Photos
All photos MUST be submitted electronically using the form below. Printed photos dropped off will NOT be accepted.
Complete the form below, and using the File Upload click, drag/drop your digital file from your computer, tablet or phone.
Check all boxes, sign, and complete the payment to submit your information and photos.
As part of your submission fee, your photo(s) will be professionally printed by Speedrpint Ltd. and then matted with a backer board, put in a clear protective sleeve and then displayed at the LAC in January.
All displayed photos will be entered for a chance to win prizes based on the judges and people’s choice selections.
*The LAC and Speedprint are not responsible for formatting photo files uploaded. All files will be printed as is. Ensure your photo meet standard print quality, 8×10″ at 300 pixels per inch. Photos that are not 8×10″ will be automatically cropped once they are placed in the pre-cut 8×10″ mats. To avoid this, please crop and size your photos before uploading.
*Incomplete or late submissions will NOT be considered.
Submission Fee:
$15/submission. The entry fee includes professional printing and matting of each photograph (yours to keep after the exhibit), participation in the contest for a chance to win prizes.
Maximum number of submissions per artist is UNLIMITED.

U26: annual members exhibition
The 2026 members exhibition celebrates the strength, vitality, creativity, and wealth of talent found within the Leamington Arts Centre (LAC)/South Essex Arts Association (SEAA). Each year, the diverse and outstanding works by our members creates an exciting and engaging exhibition whereby artists are able to showcase, share and sell their work. The exhibition creates a platform for artists to network with peers to develop their skills and experiences.
Eligibility
This exhibition is open to all emerging, midcareer and established visual artists. All mediums accepted in 2D and 3D (watercolour, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, textile, mixed media, etc.)
All artworks must be originals and not copies, derivatives or artworks based in any way on other copyrighted or published artistic works. They must be entirely executed by the applicant.
All artwork must be for sale.
Giclées and prints of the artist’s original works are accepted for this exhibition.
How to Submit
Complete this submission form and payment below and deliver the artwork to the LAC before the submission deadline. Incomplete or late submissions will NOT be considered.
Submission Fee:
Free with your 2026 membership.
Maximum number of submissions per artist is 2 and size limit of 4 linear feet width for a single work or combined for all submissions. (Series, diptychs, etc: under 3 are consider 1 submission, over 3 may be considered more depending on wall requirements to install.)
Please note: submission fees cover expenses to develop, coordinate, advertise, curate, handle and store works, in addition to general operating expenses. For this reason, submission fees are non-refundable, for works accepted or not accepted into the exhibition.
Artwork Preparation
VERY IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ & FOLLOW!
All artwork MUST be prepared and ready for display and presentation in a pubic gallery setting. Works not properly prepared and presentable will not be displayed.
Stretched canvas, canvas board and any other framed artwork MUST BE WIRED on the back. Saw-Tooth Hooks/Aligator Hooks or other types of hardware are NOT accepted.
Material that may smear should be treated with an art fixative prior to submission.
Free-standing 3D works MUST be assembled and stable/balanced.
Properly label ALL artwork on back matching the online form. Title of Artwork, Name, Media, and Sale Price.
Artwork not properly prepared, incomplete or late submissions will NOT be displayed in the exhibit.
Sales
All sales will be handled by the LAC. A commission of 35% will be retained on all sales.
Payments will be made within 30 days of exhibition end via e-transfer or EFT only (cheques or cash payments will not be issued)
