The LAC welcomes exhibition proposals from artists and institutions at any time.
OAC Exhibition Assistance
The program supports Ontario-based artists and artist collectives working in visual arts, craft and media art practices in the presentation of their artwork in a confirmed public exhibition. Grant amount, minimum $500, maximum $2000.

Generously sponsored by the Leamington Lion’s Cub, the Leamington En Plein Air Painting Competition is an incredible opportunity for all artists to present their En Plein Air paintings at the LAC for a chance to win cash prizes.
The exhibition’s focus is to showcase the beauty within the Leamington and Point Pelee district, and celebrate the joy and impressionism in full view when painting in the open air.
Jury
This is a juried exhibition. The juror will select the works to be displayed in the exhibition as well as the winner. The juror decisions are final.
This year’s juror is Elizabeth MacDonald.
Elizabeth’s passion is plein air painting. She began painting in Plein air in 1996 and shortly thereafter she began her studies at the University of Windsor where she received her BFA in 2000. From 2000 to 2009 she volunteered for the nonprofit organization, Windsor Printmakers’ Forum. In 2009 she founded the Windsor & Essex County Plein Air Artists group. She organizes weekly plein air events year-round and participates in Plein Air Festivals in the U.S.A and Canada. She has received several awards in the U.S. and Canada.

Stomping Grounds is a guest curated, cross-region and cross-selection exhibition of juried works. The exhibition’s focus is to bring together a broad and diverse collection and new scope of efficacious works to the Leamington Arts Centre.
Eligiblity:
- This exhibition is open to all visual artists located in Ontario.
- All media is accepted.
- A maximum of 3 submissions (a diptych series up to 5, are one work/submission)
- Original works only. Reproductions not accepted for this exhibition.
- All work must be originals and not copies, derivatives or artworks based in any way on other copyrighted or published artistic works.
- All work must be entirely executed by the applicant.
Juror/Guest Curator
This is a guest-curated exhibition. Only those works selected by the curator/juror will be displayed in the exhibit.

How to Submit
Complete this Submission Form. If accepted, deliver the artwork to the LAC before the installation deadline. Incomplete or late submissions will NOT be considered.
Submissions MUST include:
- Artist Statement (PDF or doc(x))
- Curriculum Vitae (PDF or doc(x))
- Artwork (labeled and wired on back)
Submission Fee:
$35/submission (up to 3 works)
Artist Compensation Fee:
Selected artists will be compensated according to the 2026 CARFAC standard fee schedule.
