The WFCU Credit Union Leamington En Plein Air Painting Competition is an incredible opportunity for all artists to present their En Plein Air paintings at the LAC for a chance to win cash prizes.
The exhibition’s focus is to showcase the beauty within the Leamington and Point Pelee district, and celebrate the joy and impressionism in full view when painting in the open air .
This exhibition is open to all amateur, emerging, mid-career and established visual artists.
The 22 participating artists include Astra Nams, Michaela Lucio, Emily Faulkner, Bob Voyvodic, Ryleigh Gaudreau, Payam Pooyafar, Steve King, Larissa Porteous, Dennis Edmonson, Alicia Covey, Anna Buckie, Elaine Guitar, Layne van Loo, Sharon Suitor, Brenda Baute, Sandra Ellis, Anne Young, Nancy Platsko, Carrie Rose, Vera Graham, Liane Bults, and Andrea Kubis.
This year’s juror is Gulnaz Turdalieva.
Gulnaz Turdalieva is a multidisciplinary visual artist and the founder, creative director, and editor of Art Create Learn, an independent arts magazine based in Windsor, Ontario. Her creative practice spans painting, mixed media, photography, and illustration, exploring themes of memory, emotion, and the human experience. Through her work, she invites viewers into quiet spaces of reflection and connection.
Gulnaz has exhibited her artwork across Windsor-Essex, including solo and group exhibitions at Artspeak Gallery, and group shows at SB Contemporary Gallery, Gibson Gallery, and Mackenzie Hall. Through Art Create Learn, she is dedicated to showcasing local talent, fostering artist growth, and building a vibrant, connected arts community.
She is honoured to serve as a juror for the WFCU Credit Union Leamington En Plein Air Painting Competition this year.
