Children's Acrylic Painting

Seasonal Youth Acrylic Painting Class
Designed for youth ages 7 to 14, this monthly acrylic painting class takes place on the first Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Participants will be guided step-by-step through each project, while learning key art fundamentals such as colour theory, perspective, composition, and contrast. The cost is $45 per student per class, with all materials included.

#1 September 6 – Monarch Butterfly Migration

Celebrate the Monarch butterfly’s migration by painting this beautiful creature in flight. Youth will explore creativity while learning about the butterfly’s journey.

#2 October 4th – Halloween Fright Night

Decorate a frightful Halloween landscape as ghosts, ghouls, and goblins emerge under the glow of a full moon!

#3 November 1st – Starry Night Pets

Create a Vincent van Gogh–inspired painting of dogs or cats set against a beautiful Starry Night background!

#4 December 6th – Winter Gnome

Paint a whimsical winter gnome in this fun and creative seasonal art session!

2025 Education Program Refund Policy

Cancellations: Requests for refund received in writing at least 2 days in advance of an education program start date are eligible for a refund minus a $10 administration fee, or a full credit towards another education program. Late cancellations are non-refundable, credits will determined case by case at the sole discretion of the LAC.
