About the Event The Leamington Arts Centre (LAC), in partnership with the Municipality of Leamington, the Uptown Leamington BIA, and the Bank Theatre is proud to present the Mill St. Market.
The Mill St. Market is specially curated to serve delectable street food and drinks while you shop for handcrafted arts and and crafts lining the modern, reinvented, Mill Street in Leamington. With live music, you’ve never experienced a night market like this! Be a part of the Uptown Leamington experience!
Eligibility & Terms • This event is open to vendors and general merchandise retailers with a focus on artists, artisans, creators, crafters, makers, bakers, growers, authors and culinary street food masters...
• This is a juried event. Applications are considered based on the vendor type and limits, date of application, previous experience and sample of work/display provided via website or social media on the entry form.
• Upon jury acceptance and completed payment, spaces will be assigned until each event space is full on a first come first serve basis.
• Vendors who are not accepted will be refunded. If you are unsure if you should apply, please contact us first.
Deadline + Event Dates • Deadline: Vendor applications are accepted on a first come first serve basis up to the day before the event or until spaces are filled with approved and accepted vendors. Space is limited, vendors are encouraged to apply early and apply for multiple markets.
Event Dates & New Event Themes:
It is optional, however vendors are highly encourage to celebrate the event themes by decorating their tent/trailers, wearing accessories, hats, etc.. and/or adding to/adjusting their products and menus to give visitors a unique and fun experience!

Set Up • Food/Beverage Trucks/Trailers: Friday, 11:00am - 1:00pm.
• Tent Vendors: Friday, 1:00pm - 4:30pm
• ABSOLUTELY NO EARLY SET UP.
• All vendors must check-in with LAC staff/volunteers at the Mill St. West gate or LAC HQ tent (not inside LAC art gallery building)
• Enter Mill St from the West with vehicle, quickly unload and then IMMEDIATELY MOVE VEHICLE OFF MILL ST. Mill St. is a one-way and one-lane street. Other vehicles MUST be able to enter and drive to their space to unload as well.
• All vendors MUST be set up by 4:30pm and ALL VEHICLES MUST BE OFF MILL ST. BY THIS TIME, NO EXCEPTIONS.
• Late vendors will be turned away and participation in the event forfeited. Refunds will not be issued.
Take Down • Fridays, 10:00pm - 11:30pm.
• ABSOLUTELY NO dismantling or removal of displays is permitted before 10:00pm. The West gate will open once the street is safe and clear of the public.
• All displays, vehicles, equipment MUST be removed from the area and cannot stay overnight as the street will reopen immediately after the event.
Safety + Security • By order of the Leamington Fire Dept. ALL exhibitors MUST have a type 2A 10BC fire extinguisher at their site. Inspectors will be at the event. (Not only food vendors, all vendors)
• Security will be at the event, however vendors are responsible for their own property.
• For your own protection, we recommend you carry appropriate insurance coverage. Check with your agent. The South Essex Arts Association/Leamington Arts Centre and the Municipality of Leamington are not responsible for any loss, damages or injury incurred by vendor participation.
Tents + Spaces • Every attempt to accommodate site requests will be made, but NOT guaranteed. A vendor's location may change for different market dates, subject to availability. Priority of selected space are given to returning vendors who signed up for multiple markets early.
• A limited number of 10x10' Mill St. tents with string lights are available for rent in select spaces only and assigned on first come first serve and needs basis. Remaining vendors must supply and set up their own tents and lights. All tents MUST be property secured for inclement weather.
• NO make-shift tents are permitted. Tents must be a minimum 10’x10’ vendor style pop-up.
• Vendors may rent more than 1 space.
• Vendors may share a space if both vendors are approved.
• Every vendor is to be totally self-sufficient. Bring with you everything you may need: tent, weights, fire extinguisher, lights, extension cords, dollies/carts, tables, chairs, displays, debit/credit machines, receipt books, etc... No equipment will be provided. There will be power at each tent.
Parking • Vendor parking is available in the Municipal lots on Russell St. and John St. which are 1-2 blocks from the event as well as at the Princess Centre.
• No vehicles will be permitted in the market unless a food truck, trailer, etc. and approved as required for the event.

Refunds + Cancellation • Sorry, refunds will not be issued for ANY reason. Consider carefully and check your calendar BEFORE you apply.
• This is a rain or shine event. No refunds.
Food/Beverage Vendors: • ALL FOOD/BEVERAGE VENDORS MUST complete an application with the WECHU: https://www.wechu.org/food-vendor-application. Failure to do so will result in the WECHU denying your participation in the event.
• All food/beverage vendors must provide a certificate of insurance (CIO) with $5M liability, naming "The South Essex Arts Association/Leamington Arts Centre" as well as "The Municipality of Leamington" as additional insured. Please contact your insurance agent.
• MUST bring own power/extension cords (approx. 100ft or more, 12+ gauge to reach the power panel) Multiple 110v 3 prong outlets and 220v 50A round twist outlets are available on the panel only.
• MUST bring own clean water supply/containers and own grey water disposable containers. There is no water supply available at the event.
• Generators/Inverters are NOT permitted due to noice with music, and proximity to other vendor tents, and buildings.
Alcohol Vendors: • ALL ALCOHOL VENDORS MUST be licensed under the Alcohol Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) with a proper license type for operating this event. All alcohol vendors shall follow all guidelines, including only smart serve trained staff serving.
• All alcohol vendors must provide a certificate of insurance (CIO) with $5M liability, naming "The South Essex Arts Association/Leamington Arts Centre" as well as "The Municipality of Leamington" as additional insured. Please contact your insurance agent.
• All alcohol vendors must provide receipt of any alcohol to be served at the event, 5 days prior. No other alcohol is permitted to be sold.
• All alcohol sales will be by the SEAA/LAC via token system. All token sales/token reimbursement to alcohol vendors shall be subject to a $2 fee per token. Strictly NO outside alcohol will be permitted into the licensed market area. Strictly NO direct sales of alcohol by vendors is permitted.
