Hiring: Curatorial Assistant
The LAC is seeking a qualified art enthusiast who thrives in a creative and community-based work environment. The Curatorial Assistant is tasked with the essential role of developing and supporting the delivery of exhibitions and related programs. Working alongside the Director/Curator and other team members, the Curatorial Assistant will assist to cultivate activities and programs which support the LAC’s mission, strategic plan and funding strategies. Through the development of robust funding and programming, the Curatorial Assistant will aid in outreach initiatives, networking, partnership building to attracting visitors and enrich experiences.
· MUST have 4+ years experience in community or traditional educational settings in line with this role, and/or degree or diploma in related field of study such as, but not limited to: BA, MA, BFA, MFA, curatorial studies.
· MUST have a proven track record in grant writing, grant reporting and specifically Ontario Arts Council Public Art Gallery Operating Grants.
