Visitor Services & Gallery Attendant
The Visitor Services & Gallery Attendant (VSGA) is entrusted with effective customer service and cheerful reception at the gallery as well as facility appearances and cleanliness. The VSGA accurately performs, point of sales, clerical duties and as a docent disseminates information in person and online to promote exhibitions, events, programs and services offered at the LAC. The VSGA is a professional, warm, friendly and informative personality that enhances the visitor and patron experiences.
Docent + Administrative Assistant (front-line)
Volunteer docents provide a warm and welcoming experience to the LAC; they interpret and share information to visitors about the artwork and exhibits; they provide and promote information about programs, services and the LAC in general. Docents help visitors connect with the art and have a memorable visit. This position also aids with general clerical and office duties such as answering phones and typing as well as handles visitor services such as sales, memberships and artwork submissions. Times to be filled: Fridays anytime between 10am-4:30pm, Saturdays, 12-4pm, Sundays 12-4pm.
Events + Facility Assistant (behind the scenes)
The Volunteer Facility & Events Assistants assist with the coordination and set up for programs and activities, such as exhibitions, receptions, events, meetings, classes, etc. This includes setting up chairs, tables, moving artwork on carts and by hand. The facility assistant also aids with general cleaning, upkeep and appearances of the gallery, duties such as sweeping and moping. Times to be filled: flexible based on volunteer’s schedule.
