YOUNG @ H-ART: Half Century Club

Opening Reception: Sat Aug 11, 1-3pm

The Half Century Club Art Group began with a single art teacher wanting to teach a small group of beginners in the 1970s. Faithful to our mission to introduce beginners to the arts, we have built to 15-20 members throughout the ensuing decades. Blossoming artists and artisans have a chance to explore different types of art during the HCC Art Group Wednesday morning meetings (9am-12 noon). We encourage everyone to join us!

To participate, you don’t even have to be able to draw a straight line. We believe that’s what rulers are for! We have materials, an art library and friendly fellow members to help you get started.

To a person, we Half Century Club Art Group members relish the acceptance, encouragement, camaraderie, fun, support and many interests we share and introduce to others. Laughter rules our Wednesday morning art sessions. We find our art and our conversations very therapeutic. We have discovered we are a family, caring about each other, celebrating events, weathering challenges. Perhaps most importantly, what happens at the HCC Art Group stays at the HCC Art Group!

New members are always welcome. Please feel free to drop in and meet us on Wednesday mornings from 9am-12 noon at the Half Century Club, 160 Talbot Street East, Leamington, ON  N8H1M2, 519-326-2521. If you stop in at 10:30am, we will most likely be gathered around a table, drinking Victor Dick’s excellent coffee.
