PEACE OF MIND: Chao Zhao

My Origami experience started from simple to complex folding and then evolved to creative works – folding a piece of paper without scissor cuts and no glue, making  a sheet of flat paper to beautiful 3D object…the whole processing is magic by folding methodology. I use the traditional Japanese pattern paper to fold paper to cherish. The modular Origami needs folding 30 to 60 units as it assembles into one marvellous Origami ball.

Exhibition including: Modular Origami – Flower balls and polyhedron balls, Origami Flowers, Wedding Decoration Origami, Origami gift Boxes.

My artwork is largely influenced by Chinese painting and calligraphy; practices that are rooted in Zen culture, which emphasizes a balance of natural beauty and simplicity.
