The Leamington Arts Centre (LAC) is located in the heart of South Western Ontario’s beautiful uptown Leamington in one of the town’s many wonderful heritage buildings. The LAC is a 9,000 square foot, state-of-the-art, and fully accessible facility which offers three floors of galleries, meeting rooms, and studio spaces.
The LAC is proud to provide a gathering place for your special events and programing needs. Our space is available to individuals, businesses, community groups and organizations for private social events, educational and business events and our staff will gladly work with you to host your event.
The beautiful main floor galleries offer large spaces for entertaining and socializing with plenty of room for hors d’oeuvres and cocktail tables, buffets, receiving tables, or seated catered dinning. It’s the perfect unique setting for showers, weddings, anniversaries, book launches, CD releases and more. The galleries are available for facility rentals after 5pm any day of the week including weekends. *some exceptions may apply
The large 2nd floor community room is the perfect setting for educational programs, seminars, workshops, meetings and conferences. It comes equipped with a 100” projector screen, tables, and seating for up to 70. The community room is available all hours any day of the week including weekends.
The lower level studio space is a great space to get messy with paints, crafts and hands-on work. Studio space is available monthly for artists and arts instructors to hold classes and workshops. It is equipped with its own clean up station, tables, chairs and washroom and is available all hours any day of the week including weekends.
If Alcohol is being served, the following requirement MUST be met: 1) Special Occasion Permit (SOP) is obtained from the AGCO/LCBO (www.agco.on.ca) and a copy provided to the LAC. 3) Proof of event liability insurance and MUST list the LAC and the Municipality of Leamington as “additional insured”. 4) Permit holder MUST complete the Municipality’s Alcohol Policy Agreement. The liability insurance may be purchased directly from the patron’s insurance broker or through an alternate company such as PAL Insurance Canada (www.palcanada.com). The LAC reserves the right to inspect and review all service providers before approving their services. Insurance documents must be received by the LAC fourteen (14) days prior to the event. The renter will be notified prior to the event if a service provider has been declined by the LAC. A designate with a Smart Serve is required to attend and serve alcohol.
