Adult Classes
The LAC strives to help enrich our communities understanding and appreciation for the arts and culture while assisting to enhance skills and talents for both youth and adults. Come join us and explore your artistic side. Develop your skills and have fun in our relaxed lower level studios. Our teachers offer a broad range of adult and children’s classes suited to all levels and areas of interest from acrylic, oil, watercolour and encaustic painting, drawing, printmaking as well as specialized individual one on one classes and holiday and seasonal art camps for children.
ADULT BEGINNERS ACRYLIC PAINTING: with Bear Foot Studio
Instructor: Andrea Niven
A series of beginner acrylic painting classes for adults of all ages. 2 sessions are hosted per month for September, October, November( 3 classes) and December (1 class).
2 class times: Morning & Evening.
Morning Classes fall on Wednesdays from 10:00am – 12:00pm.
Evening Classes fall on Thursdays from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.
The cost per class is $40 per adult. All materials are included. Maximum of 10 students per class.
Each session will finish with each artist leaving with a completed acrylic painting on canvas of their hand-painted creation.

Ticket price is $65 and includes 2 drink tickets, a personal charcuterie plate, all painting materials and instruction for the night! Register groups of 4 or more for $60 each.

Exploring Famous Artists and Styles of Painting: with Bear Foot Studios
Instructor: Andrea Niven
In this series of classes, students will explore the work of 12 famous artists. Students will produce paintings and works of art based on the influences, styles and techniques of well-known artists. Students will use a variety of art media such as acrylic paint, watercolour paint, pen and ink and coloured pencil. Classes are held Wednesday mornings from 10 am until noon and are $40 per class with all materials provided!
Adult Acrylic Painting: with Bear Foot Studios

A series of acrylic painting classes for adults hosted 2x per month. Part 1 includes 6 classes from January until March. Part 2 , also six classes, runs from April until June. The classes will fall on Thursday evenings, from 6:30 to 8:30 and cost $40 per class.
This program will be offered in two parts each with 6 classes. Take advantage of the Early Bird Special of 6 classes for $220 for Part 1 until January 4th 2023. There is also an Early Bird Special available for Part 2 until April 5th, 2023.
